The initial choreography of One Day and One Night was inspired by the colorful paintings of artist Nanna Susi expressing irrational and surrealist inner landscapes. In the new version the colorfulness is converted into more reduced scenery. While the original choreography’s structure based on the music by the composer Uljas Pulkkis is being respected, the costumes, light design and scenery enjoy a renewed look.
The refreshed movement themes, where the initiation point has been the dancers personality and body, creates the choreography a new direction: a cartoonlike dramaturgy where the dancer travels through different fictive landscapes creating a playful type gallery of a single man.
